January Productivity Reset:
A Live 8-Week Program
Skip the resolutions. Build a week that works without burning you out.
An 8-week small-group program with psychologist Dr. Jessica Stern for high achievers who are tired of pushing harder. Ends with a one-on-one session where we build your personal plan for the rest of the year.
Limited to 8 people. Begins Tuesday, January 12.
The problem
Every January, the same promise: this is the year you finally get it together.
So you buy the planner. You wake up at 5 a.m. You color-code the calendar. And by mid-February you're back where you started, only now you also feel like you failed.
That's not a discipline problem. You're not lazy, and you don't need more motivation. If you're reading this, you're probably already working harder than almost everyone around you.
The problem is that most productivity advice treats you like a machine that needs better settings. It asks you to do more, faster, with fewer breaks. For high achievers, that's not a fix. It's the road to burnout.
A different approach: non-toxic productivity
The January Reset starts from a different question. Not "How do I get more done?" but "What's actually getting in my way?"
In my work as a clinical psychologist, I see the same pattern again and again. What looks like low motivation is usually something else: a hidden obstacle that quietly drains your energy and makes you avoid the work. I call it invisible friction. It might be an unclear next step, a task tied to someone else's approval, a fear of doing it imperfectly, or a week with no room to recover.
You can't fix invisible friction with a better to-do list. You fix it by seeing it clearly, then designing your week around how you actually work.
That's what we'll do together. You'll leave with a week that runs on your real energy, not on willpower, and a plan to keep it going after January.
What's included in this program:
4 live sessions, 1 one-on-one call, individualized feedback, a self-paced course, and 8 weeks of support.
Your self-assessment and workbook. As soon as you enroll, you'll get a short self-assessment to start mapping where your time and energy really go, plus the workbook with exercises for every session.
Four live group sessions. Small, interactive, and practical. Each session gives you a framework, time to apply it to your own life, and a clear next step.
Personal midpoint feedback. After Session 2, when most plans start to slip, you'll send me a short written or voice reflection on what's working and what's stuck. I'll reply personally with feedback to help you adjust.
Your Forward Plan Session. After Session 4, we meet one-on-one for a 45-minute virtual call to pull together everything you've learned and turn it into a plan for the rest of your year.
Your Personal Reset Plan. Within a week of that session, you'll receive a written plan to keep: your friction points, what's working, your weekly system, and what to do when things slip.
The weekly check-in system. My Monday on-ramp and Friday off-ramp worksheet, so every week starts with intention and ends with recovery.
A private group chat. A small, focused space to share progress and ask questions, open throughout the program and for 30 days after. I'm in the chat during set office hours twice a week.
A 30-day follow-up session. One month after Session 4, we meet again as a group to see how your plans are going and adjust what isn't working.
Session recordings, in case life gets in the way.
bonus! Lifetime access to Mayhem To Magic, my signature self-paced digital productivity course.
The Four Group Sessions
We separate why you want something from how you'll do it, and find the friction hiding in between. You'll see why your hardest tasks feel hard, and it's rarely the reason you think.
Audit: Where your energy really goes.
1
We build your week around your real energy, with clear starts, protected focus time, and a Friday wind-down so the work doesn't follow you into the weekend.
Redesign: A week that works for you.
2
We work on saying no without guilt, spotting the early signs of burnout, and making rest part of the plan instead of a reward you never earn.
Protect: Boundaries and recovery.
3
Sustain: Making it last.
4
You'll leave with a plan for the rest of the year, including exactly what to do when you slip, because you will, and that's okay.
FAQs:
-
No. The January Reset is a coaching program. It's informed by my clinical training, but it isn't therapy and doesn't replace mental health treatment. If you're currently in therapy, this can work alongside it.
-
Every session is recorded, and you can bring questions to the group chat or your midpoint check-in.
-
Often, yes. Many employers cover professional development. I'm happy to provide an invoice, if your institution or accounting team approve of this. If you'd like to bring the program to your whole team, contact me about a private version.
